Serving others is important to the Immanuel family. 13% of our church budget is designated for the mission of the United Church of Christ in St. Louis, Missouri and throughout the world.
The mission of
Emmaus Homes is to enhance the quality of life for people with mental retardation or other developmental disabilities through life experiences that enable growth and inclusion within each person's chosen communities. This mission arises from faith in Jesus Christ, who empowers all people to affirm and celebrate their worth and uniqueness.

It carries forth the evangelical tradition of the Reformation by emphasis on academic excellence, piety, and social awareness in theology that is biblically-oriented and for proclamation and service of the church in mission.
The Evangelical Children's Home began as an orphanage in 1858 when the pastor who founded St. Paul's saw the need to care for orphans roaming the streets of St. Louis following an outbreak of Cholera. Mo-Val/Tambo: Camp and outdoor ministry programs
and facilities offer wonderful opportunities to momentarily
escape from the pressures of daily life, experience
God's natural world, take time for personal relfection,
join together as part of a community and experience
communion with God. We seek to provide a "Ministry
of Hospitality". These two distinct facilities are
situated on 267 wooded acres in eastern Missouri.
They are conveniently located about an hour's drive
from St. Louis, near the town of Union. These sites
provide a variety of facilities to meet a variety
of needs. Groups as small as 8 and as large as 200
can be accommodated. We provide food service for most
of our groups.
