Rev. Jesse L. Pollmann is a native of Missouri. He came to Immanuel United Church of Christ in 1994, to serve as Pastor of Visitation after his retirement in 1993 as the Senior Pastor of St. Paul’s Evangelical Church in Creve Coeur, MO. Rev. Pollmann received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Central Methodist College in Fayette, MO, with a dual major in Religion and Philosophy. After graduation he entered Eden Theological Seminary in Webster Groves, MO and earned a Master of Divinity degree in June, 1958, Rev. Pollmann was ordained into the Christian ministry at his home church in California, MO, the Evangelical Church.

Rev. Pollmann served parishes in the United Church of Christ in Ablene, Kansas, Maeystown and Valmeyer, Illinois, and in Missouri, serving Salvator UCC, Salem UCC and St. Paul’s UCC. In 1993, he retired from St. Paul’s UCC and was honored with the recognition of Pastor Emeritus at St. Paul’s on September 22, 1996. During his 40-plus years in the Christian Ministry, he served on a number of Conference Committees in Missouri and Illinois. Rev. Pollmann’s responsibilities at Immanuel UCC include calling on the homebound and those in retirement and nursing homes, sharing with the Senior Group, and assisting the Senior Pastor in preaching and hospital calling when needed.

Rev. Pollmann was married to his wife, Donna, nee Simmons, on June 8, 1952. This marriage was blessed with one daughter, Jena Lou, and one son, David Lee. Jena is married to Michael Yarbrough and they have two sons, Joshua Michael, and Adam Michael. David is married to Susan, nee Rolfing, and they have three sons, Jonathan Glenn, Joseph Lee, and Daniel Louis. Rev. Pollmann and his wife, Donna, are owners in Welcome Aboard Travel and have traveled extensively. In addition Rev. Pollmann enjoys gardening, photography, antique furniture (with particular love for the old parlor organs with he reconditions and refinishes), and most of all sharing in the life of his five wonderful grandsons with whom he has been blessed and who live nearby.
